David John Hunt (born 10 September 1982) is an English former Association football, football midfielder. Playing career Born in London, Hunt began as a trainee with Crystal Palace F.C., Crystal Palace, but made only a few appearances after turning professional. He moved to Leyton Orient F.C., Leyton Orient in 2003, playing 74 times in all competitions in two seasons. He then moved to Northampton Town F.C., Northampton Town, where he was a key player in the club's successful promotion season of 2005–06 in English football, 2005–06, with his long throw-in being a prominent weapon in the team's tactical arsenal that year. Sir David Hunt (25 September 1913 – 30 July 1998) was a British diplomat, perhaps best remembered as winner of the BBC's ''Mastermind'' television quiz in 1977. Life and career Hunt was born in Durham, and studied at Wadham College, Oxford. He served with distinction in World War II, he received his OBE in 1943 and entered the diplomatic service in 1947. He served as Private Secretary to prime ministers Clement Attlee and Winston Churchill from 1950 to 1952, then became Deputy High Commissioner for the UK in Lahore, Pakistan. In 1956, Hunt joined the Commonwealth Relations Office as head of the Central African Department, in 1959 he became Assistant Under-Secretary of State and received a CMG. In 1960, Hunt was appointed Deputy High Commissioner for the UK in Lagos, Federation of Nigeria, in 1962 he became High Commissioner in Uganda, receiving a KCMG in 1963, which entails a knighthood. Dave Hunt is an English extreme metal vocalist. He is the vocalist of Anaal Nathrakh under the pseudonym V.I.T.R.I.O.L., (), a phrase found in alchemical literature which purports to be the origin of the name of vitriol. He was also the vocalist of Mistress under the pseudonym Dave Cunt until their split in March 2008. Notably, Dave Hunt's lyrics for his main band, Anaal Nathrakh, are never released or published in album liner notes. The one known exception is the song "Tod Huetet Uebel" from '' Passion'', which was written as a collaboration with Rainer Landfermann, best known for his vocal work on the Bethlehem album '' Dictius Te Necare''. David Hunt (October 22, 1779 – May 18, 1861) was an American planter based in the Natchez District of Mississippi. From New Jersey in approximately 1800, he took a job in his uncle Abijah Hunt's Mississippi business. After his uncle's untimely 1811 death, as a beneficiary and as the executor of the estate, he began to convert the estate into his plantation empire. By the time of the 1860 slave census, Hunt owned over 500 enslaved Africans. Had he not given approximately 500 enslaved Africans to his children, he would have had over 1,000. He gave each of his five adult children at least one plantation and about 100 slaves. In fact, Hunt and his five adult children and their spouses owned some 1,700 slaves by 1860. Known as "King David," Hunt made a fortune in cotton production and sales.
